Franchimont is a village in the municipality of Philippeville, in the Walloon Region. Easily accessible by train or car, the site benefits from a very convenient location—about one hour from major Belgian cities such as Brussels, Liège, Namur, and Charleroi, and less than 10 minutes from the French border.

The “12 Hours” site is highly popular, so we recommend arriving as early as possible to enjoy the midnight start.

You can access the site via the Dinant–Philippeville road. At the place called “La Clairière,” at the entrance of the Florennes military air base, take the direction of Surice. Parking areas are available as you approach the site.

The second access is via the Philippeville–Givet road. Coming from Philippeville, after Place de Villers-le-Gambon, take the road on the left towards Franchimont.

The third access is via the Givet–Philippeville road. Coming from Givet, head towards Romedenne and then Surice.
